The ALGAECAN project team from the CARTIF Technology Center visited the area where the project’s demonstration plant will be installed at the HUERCASA facilities (Sanchonuño, Segovia).
This demonstration plant is one of two that will be built during the development of the project. Among the planned actions are the final design and the construction and operation / demonstration of the prototype in different scenarios. The design will be carried out in accordance with market demand, composition of currents and technology specifications.
This prototype will be operated for a sufficient period of time (8 months) and its final products will be evaluated and valued from the point of view of market interest. In order to monitor the performance of the applied wastewater treatment, a set of indicators have been established to regularly monitor and compare the progress of the project with respect to the initial situation. The results of the implementation will be used to make specific technical suggestions for the large-scale implementation of the project.
