A report on the assessment of effluent and microalgae quality by end use is being developed for the two demonstration sites. This report provides a database including the possible uses of the effluent obtained in the LIFE ALGAECAN project. Therefore, new market sectors, stakeholders and users are identified. The main objective is to assess the reuse of the by-products and end products of LIFE ALGAECAN. In this context, the possibility of reusing the final effluent as a water source for irrigation and cleaning is assessed. In addition, the valorisation of solids (microalgae) is evaluated with a view to incorporating into the process the production of fertilisers and marketable animal feed products as a waste-to-resource strategy.
